AnChat is a decentralized social chat application built on the Orama Network, an open-source peer-to-peer ecosystem.

No email. No phone number. No data collection. Create an account in seconds with the built-in wallet and start chatting — anyone can join.

Installation

Requirements

AnChat Lite supports iOS 18.0 or later and Android 14 or later.

Coming from a version older than v5.0.0?

⚠️ A one-time clean install is required.

AnChat v5.0.0 is a complete rebuild — a brand-new app with a new architecture and a new database — so it cannot carry over data from any earlier version (v4.x and below). If you still have an older version installed, do a clean install once:

1. Uninstall the old AnChat app (v4.x or earlier). Updating over the existing app is not enough — the old data must be removed.
2. Install the latest AnChat fresh (v5.0.0 or newer).
3. Open the app and either create a new account, or import an existing Solana or Ethereum private key.

Already on v5.0.0 or newer? Nothing to do. When a new version (v5.1, v6, …) is released, just update the app normally — no uninstall, no reinstall, and your account and messages are preserved.

iOS

1. Install TestFlight from the App Store
2. Open the TestFlight invitation link
3. Tap "Accept" to join the beta
4. Install AnChat Lite from TestFlight

Android (Google Play)

Download directly from Google Play.

GrapheneOS

Direct APK Download

1. Download the latest APK from Releases
2. Open the file using the Files app
3. Tap to install (GrapheneOS handles permissions)

Via Obtainium

Obtainium allows you to install and auto-update apps directly from GitHub:

1. Install Obtainium from F-Droid or GitHub
2. Open Obtainium and tap Add App
3. Enter: https://github.com/DeBrosDAO/anchat-releases
4. Enable "Include pre-releases" to get the latest beta versions
5. Tap Add

Obtainium will automatically notify you when new versions are available.

AnChat is in open beta — anyone can create an account, no invite or NFT required. Holding a DeBros NFT unlocks lifetime Premium or VIP access automatically on sign-in:
